NBC2 to provide special local coverage of third Republican debate in Miami
MIAMI, Fla. — During the third Republican presidential primary debate, NBC2 is set to feature special coverage, live and local, from Miami on Wednesday. Read below to find out how and when to tune in.
On Wednesday, Nov. 8, some of the top Republican presidential candidates will go head-to-head at the third Republican presidential primary debate at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County in Miami.
This year, NBC News is hosting the two-hour debate, sanctioned by the Republican National Committee, from 8:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET.
NBC “Nightly News” Anchor Lester Holt and “Meet the Press” Moderator Kristen Welker will serve as the moderators, along with Hugh Hewitt, host of “The Hugh Hewitt Show” on Salem Radio Network.
Over 15 NBC News anchors, correspondents, reporters, and campaign embeds will be on the ground covering the latest analysis leading up to and after the debate.
NBC2’s very own Chief Political Correspondent, Dave Elias, will be covering the debate in Miami to bring Southwest Florida live updates.
How to Watch the Debate:
The debate will stream free and live on NBC News NOW, which is available through NBCNews.com, Peacock, and all major streaming platforms.
Noticias Telemundo will also stream the debate with real-time audio translations.

Who is Eligible?
According to Reuters, to participate, candidates must have the following qualifications:
Must receive at least 4% in two national polls or 4% in one national poll as well as 4% in a poll in at least two “early states”
Must have at least 70,000 unique donors, including at least 200 donors from 20 or more states or territories
Must sign a pledge that requires participants to support the eventual Republican nominee
The Republican National Committee laid out several requirements for surveys to count toward this requirement, including that they must take place after Sept. 1.
Who will Participate?
In September, seven candidates were onstage at the second debate in California.
As of right now, five Republican candidates have qualified for the third debate, according to their campaigns:
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley
Tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy
South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott
Fewer people are expected to attend, as Former Vice President Mike Pence withdrew from the race on October 28.
Former President Trump did not attend the first two debates. It is not confirmed whether he will be participating this Wednesday.
